Most sunstone from Oregon is straw yellow in color. However, this particular sunstone is a very light peach. As you can see in the video this particular stone is displaying more brilliance than you would expect, especially with the amount of copper inclusions in the stone. This copper inclusions are visible in the pictures, but are not visible in the video. These inclusions cause the “schiller” effect that Oregon sunstones are famous for. The schiller in this stone is visible when oriented on the side – it is not visible when viewed face-up which is the reason for the extra brilliance.
